Kia Ora viewers.
My journey into Radio was very early. During World War 2 I read Popular Mechnaics Magazine and it had an At Raukawaarticle in there to build a transmitter so I was able to scrounge parts and built one. It was short lived as we lived near an American Army base (Wesley College Paerata) and the Military Police came and took my Radio station away that was in 1944.

Around 11 years ago while talking to Whaea Emare and Whiti Kaihau , Whiti told me he has an idea . This idea was to put Raukawa FM on the internet.  I investigated the possibilities and was able to create a solution. History now tells us the Raukawa FM was the 1st Iwi Radio Station to go online. Because I hosted this on my own server I was able to monitor the listeners and we were getting listeners world wide.See story on TV One website.
I have and am still involved in Internet Radio Stations in Australia.

ColIn 2003 I was the Chairman of South Waikato Technology Trust from its inception. This was a Government funded project and bought Technology training to the South Waikato. The project bought $3.3 million dollars of funding into the Community over the 3.5 years of its existance. We employed a fulltime Staff of 5 Tutors and a Manager. My role was that of Chairperson and was a voluntary "job" for me 5 days a week. We met some great people over the tenure of the project.

I have been a Trustee at Raukawa FM for over 3 years now and also stood in for about 8 months as General Manager. In 2014 I was voted in as Chairman of the Trust. I serverd a further 7 months in the Managers role until May 2016. My services are on a voluntary basis.
